DUX grew up in Germany in a Dutch family where music was part of everyday life. From the age of five, he was immersed in rhythm — playing drums in bands, orchestras and marching groups — laying the foundation for a lifelong dedication to sound. With a classical composer and conductor as a brother, creativity and performance were never far away.

He began producing through hip-hop, but it was drum and bass that truly captured him. Inspired by the vibrant scenes around Mannheim and Heidelberg and influenced by nights such as Low Down Deep, Hospitality, Blackout and Liquicity, Dux n Bass developed a deep appreciation for the genre’s full spectrum. Today, his sound moves effortlessly between soulful liquid, head-nodding rollers, explosive dancefloor anthems and high-energy jump-up — always driven by strong hooks and emotional impact.

Releases like “Feels Like Summer” with Friction, “Walk n Skank” and “Surreal” with Macky Gee, and “My Type”featuring Emily Makis highlight both his versatility and collaborative spirit. Equally inspired by dubstep and the wider bass music culture, he produces predominantly at night — where ideas flow freely and experimentation thrives.

Dux n Bass is driven by one core principle: it’s always about the music. Whether delivering a soulful moment or a high-impact rave weapon, his goal is to create records that connect and resonate on the dancefloor and beyond.

With a New Zealand tour confirmed and a performance at Rampage Sportpaleis in 2025, his trajectory continues to accelerate — yet his focus remains the same: pushing his sound forward and staying true to the passion that started it all.
